01 / Overview

What is carbon cycle? Carbon cycle refers to the phenomenon of carbon element exchange and continuous circulation between different layers of the Earth. The five major carbon reservoirs buried deep in the seabed contain approximately 37000 gigatons of carbon, accounting for about 85.1%; Marine biogenic sediment: about 3000 gigatons, accounting for approximately 6.9%; Terrestrial ecosystem: about 2000 gigatons, accounting for approximately 4.6%; Ocean surface: about 900 gigatons, accounting for approximately 2%; Atmosphere: Approximately 590 gigatons, accounting for only 1.4% of the total surface carbon. The living biomass in the atmosphere, terrestrial biosphere, and aquatic biosphere, as well as the dead biomass in the ocean surface, deep lithosphere, and fossil fuels, account for about 99.9% of the total carbon on Earth. Carbon in the carbonate mineral geological circle is mainly manifested as carbonate minerals, including calcium magnesium carbonate, calcium carbonate, and iron magnesium carbonate. Most of the carbonate minerals on Earth are derived from fossilized remains of marine organisms such as skeletons and shells.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

The carbon cycle is a biogeochemical cycle that refers to the exchange of carbon elements in the biosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere on Earth. There are five main sources of carbon, namely the atmosphere, terrestrial biosphere (including freshwater systems and inanimate organic compounds), oceans and sediments, and the interior of the Earth. The ocean is an active reservoir that contains the largest amount of carbon near the surface of the Earth. The basic process of carbon cycle in nature is as follows: carbon dioxide (CO ₂) in the atmosphere is absorbed by plants on land and in the ocean, and then returned to the atmosphere in the form of carbon dioxide through biological or geological processes and human activities. The two largest carbon reservoirs on Earth are the lithosphere and fossil fuels, which account for approximately 99.9% of the total carbon on Earth. The carbon activity in these two reservoirs is slow and actually serves as a storage facility. There are three carbon reservoirs on Earth - the atmospheric reservoir, the hydrosphere reservoir, and the biological reservoir. The carbon in these three reservoirs is in production.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.

Attach a theme outline, a floor plan, or nothing at all — a photo of the space is enough to start. Quotations are issued against a real exhibit list, not per-square-metre guesses.
