A standard catalogue model: the dimensions, control package and finish are fixed, which is what keeps the price and the lead time predictable. Size, colour and interface language can be adapted without a new design cycle.

The electronic components inside the junction box generate a large amount of heat during operation, and the built-in insulating thermal oil is the key to heat dissipation. It can efficiently absorb heat and quickly transfer it to the external seawater, ensuring stable internal temperature.
The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.
In conventional heat dissipation engineering, water becomes the preferred cooling medium due to its high specific heat capacity of 4.2 × 10 ³ J/(kg ·℃), which can absorb a large amount of heat with minimal temperature rise. However, the deep-sea docking box of the "Striver" manned submersible uses mineral oil as the internal cooling and thermal management medium. This choice does not negate the high specific heat capacity advantage of water, but rather the optimal solution of the system determined by extreme conditions such as deep-sea high voltage, electrical insulation, and pressure balance. The connection box contains high voltage power modules, power devices, and other heat sources inside, which must be promptly transferred to the external seawater. In theory, if we only compare the specific heat capacity, water is much better than oil (the specific heat capacity of oil is only 1.8~2.1 × 10 ³ J/(kg ·℃)). But in the deep sea of tens of thousands of meters, where the environmental pressure exceeds 1100 atmospheres, directly introducing seawater for cooling can cause two fatal problems: short circuits caused by seawater conductivity, and corrosion of electronic components by seawater. More importantly.
Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
