The "Striver" is a 10000 meter manned deep-sea submersible independently developed by China. It combines the technology of the "Jiaolong" and "Deep Sea Warrior", equipped with a safe, stable, and powerful energy system, as well as more advanced control and positioning systems. The "Striver" has achieved multiple significant technological breakthroughs, including flexible robotic arms, deep-sea lithium batteries, disposable ballast devices, cutting-edge underwater communication equipment, as well as more pressure resistant manned spherical cabins and buoyancy materials. The success of the "Striver" spacecraft marks a significant breakthrough for China in the field of deep-sea exploration technology.
The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.
Manned submersibles mainly use the method of adjusting their own gravity to perform ascent and descent. 1. Working principle of deep-sea submersible: The diving method of deep-sea submersible is the same as that of submarine, both injecting seawater into the air chamber, but the method of surfacing is different. When a submarine rises, compressed air is used to force the seawater out of the air chamber. However, deep-sea submersibles, due to their deep diving depth and high environmental pressure, do not have enough compressed air to vent the seawater in their air chambers. The pressure at 5000 meters underwater is equivalent to 500 atmospheres, which is equivalent to weighing 5000 tons on an area of 1 square meter. Deep sea submersibles use the method of abandoning ballast iron to achieve buoyancy. The disposable method used by the submersible is to use an electromagnet to adsorb large iron blocks and place a portion of iron sand in a container. After adding up these total masses, the density of the submersible is greater than that of water, allowing it to continuously sink underground. The submersible can control the dumping of containers.
Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
