01 / Overview

The exhibit introduces a device that visualizes the entire process of tidal power generation through water injection tanks, lighting, and water turbine devices. Viewers can choose to watch how tidal power generation converts the kinetic and potential energy of tides into electrical energy in both high and low tide situations. Press the button to learn about tidal power generation. Tidal power generation utilizes the periodic fluctuations of seawater caused by the gravitational pull of the moon and sun (tidal phenomenon) to store energy and generate electricity. During high tide, seawater rushes into the reservoir; During low tide, a water level difference forms between the reservoir and the sea surface. The water flow drives the generator to rotate through the water turbine, converting the kinetic and potential energy of tides into electrical energy. The main technologies include single library bidirectional and dual library continuous operation modes.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
