01 / Overview

By piecing together molecular models, understand the different substances composed of different molecular structures of carbon elements. The exhibit consists of booths, scenic boxes, interactive molecular puzzle models, and graphics and text. The exhibit provides interactive molecular splicing models, so visitors can assemble different molecular structures by hand, understand the allotropes of carbon, including diamond, graphite, graphene, fullerene, straight chain acetylene carbon, amorphous carbon, carbon nanotubes, fiber carbon, carbon nano foam, etc., and more deeply understand the composition of molecular structure and its impact on material properties. Target audience: Adolescents aged 6-15 years old. Display format: interactive device+graphic and textual operation instructions (audience experience) Visitors read the text and learn about the allotropes of carbon. 2. Visitors manually assemble the structural model of the booth desktop and assemble it into a complete whole. A description of the intrinsic connections between storylines and exhibits in the field of chemistry, including basic knowledge of carbon allotropes.

02 / How visitors use it

Interaction type: Interactive installation. The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

1. Molecules are stable particles formed by connecting atoms through chemical bonds, and their structural types mainly include linear, planar, and three-dimensional. The composition of a molecule depends on the type and number of atoms it contains, as well as the way these atoms are connected. 2. Carbon element has the most kinds of compounds among all known elements. At present, there are nearly 10 million pure organic compounds, and carbon allotropes, including diamond, graphite, graphene, fullerene, straight chain acetylene carbon, amorphous carbon, carbon nanotubes, fiber carbon, carbon nano foam, etc. (1) Graphite: Graphite is the most thermodynamically stable allotrope of carbon known. It is actually a hybrid crystal, in which covalent bonds are formed by hybridization between carbon atoms in the same layer. Each carbon atom is connected to three other carbon atoms, and the six carbon atoms form a hexagonal ring on the same plane, stretching to form a layered structure. There is no interlayer.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.

Attach a theme outline, a floor plan, or nothing at all — a photo of the space is enough to start. Quotations are issued against a real exhibit list, not per-square-metre guesses.
