01 / Overview

By using a combination of graphics and text, as well as interactive multimedia and robotic arm demonstrations, we aim to showcase classic cases of the development of mathematics and the visualization of its beauty, conveying the concept that everything is equal and the ubiquitous beauty of mathematics. The exhibit consists of an interactive display wall and an interactive booth showcasing the beauty of mathematics. The wall features a matrix of pictures and text of mathematical beauty case studies, a robotic arm, and a screen. It is linked with visitors' query content for interactive demonstrations, displaying mathematical symbols and graphics, and visualizing the expression of mathematical laws. The wall graphic content covers the history of mathematics for thousands of years, the stories of mathematicians, classic cases that embody mathematics and beauty in nature, engineering fields, and daily life, showcasing the beauty of mathematics from multiple dimensions. The touch screen on the booth is a query based interactive software. Visitors can click on the interface buttons on the screen to watch introductory videos of relevant mathematical history stories and mathematical beauty cases (such as the golden ratio, topology, fractal geometry, etc.), and visit.

02 / How visitors use it

Interaction type: Interactive multimedia. The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

Mathematics is a discipline that studies concepts such as quantity, structure, change, space, and information. Mathematics is a universal means for humans to rigorously describe and derive abstract structures and patterns of things, which can be applied to any problem in the real world. All mathematical objects are essentially defined by humans. In this sense, mathematics belongs to formal science rather than natural science. Different mathematicians and philosophers have a range of views on the exact scope and definition of mathematics. Mathematics plays an irreplaceable role in the development of human history and social life, and is also an essential basic tool for learning and researching modern science and technology. 04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.

Attach a theme outline, a floor plan, or nothing at all — a photo of the space is enough to start. Quotations are issued against a real exhibit list, not per-square-metre guesses.
