01 / Overview

This exhibit aims to enable visitors to understand static electricity knowledge through interactive processes. Viewers can enter the exhibit area under the guidance of the administrator. The exhibits mainly consist of electrostatic generators, stainless steel metal balls, and acrylic insulated platforms. The phenomenon of "angry hair rushing into the crown" demonstrates the relevant characteristics of static electricity: humans are good conductors of electricity, and when their hands come into contact with a ball shell with high voltage static electricity, the static charge will be transferred to the human body and evenly distributed on the surface of the body; visitors' hair will carry charges of the same polarity as the static ball. Due to the repulsion of same-sex charges, the same polarity charges distributed on the surface of the hair repel each other and move away, causing the hair to stretch outwards and become messy, presenting an interesting effect of "angry hair rushing into the crown". one Step onto the acrylic insulated platform, follow the guidance of the exhibit instructor, and reach out to touch the high-voltage electrostatic ball next to you Observing the changes in one's own hair through a mirror on site, feeling the "angry hair" effect brought by static electricity. Principle of same sex charge repulsion: This is the core of the "angry hair" phenomenon.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
