01 / Overview

By using artistic expression techniques to showcase the beauty of light dispersion, visitors can understand the principle of light dispersion. The exhibit is a prism beam splitting matrix light and shadow programming demonstration wall composed of a prism group and a lighting group. When visitors steps on the ground to activate the sensing area, the demonstration starts, and the lights are emitted upwards from the ground, presenting an unfolding from point to line and then to surface. The beam of light is decomposed into multiple colors through a prism, forming a dreamy rainbow network that blends with musical rhythm, allowing visitors to experience the beauty of light color from both visual and auditory perspectives, and deeply understand the principle of light dispersion. Target audience: Adolescents aged 6-15. Display format: Electromechanical demonstration device operation instructions (audience experience) 1 Start the induction zone on the ground; 2. Appreciate the demonstration of light color rhythm; 3. Understand the dispersion principle of light. Describe the inherent connections between storylines and exhibits, including the characteristics of light, the three primary colors of light, and the dispersion of light.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

1. The principle of the three primary colors of light is that white light is decomposed into multiple colors through a prism, gradually transitioning into a color spectrum. The colors are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and purple, which is the visible spectrum. Among them, the human eye is most sensitive to red, green, and blue. The human eye is like a three color receiver system, and most colors can be synthesized by combining red, green, and blue in different proportions. Similarly, the vast majority of monochromatic light can also be decomposed into three colors: red, green, and blue. This is the most fundamental principle of colorimetry, namely the three primary color principle. 2. The most beautiful physics experiment - the dispersion experiment of Newton's light. Newton conducted the famous spectral experiment in 1666, in which he used a triangular glass prism to refract sunlight onto the walls of a darkroom and observed a color spectrum from red to purple, which he called the dispersion of light. In order to obtain a purer spectrum, Newton further designed an experimental setup containing two prisms. In this device, white light is the first.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
