01 / Overview

The exhibit is composed of a timeline of drone evolution history and a drone exhibit wall. The drone exhibit wall showcases numerous iconic models from the 1990s to this year, depicting the development of drones from military to civilian use through models and physical representations, and now focusing on the development of smart transportation. visitors is presented with condensed text and stunning model walls, showcasing the key milestones in the development of drone flight control and power systems, as well as conveying the long and arduous journey of humanity in the field of flight. This exhibit to visitors the development of unmanned aerial vehicles from 1914 to the present day, which has gone through the transition from military to civilian, from wireless control to digital flight control, from piston engines to hydrogen fuel cell power systems. It aims to educate visitors on the more important points in the century long development of unmanned aerial vehicles.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

Unmanned aerial vehicles, abbreviated as "drones". In 1917, the first unmanned remote-controlled aircraft was successfully modified. With the passage of time and the development of technology, drones have gradually expanded from the military field to scientific research and civilian fields such as rapid logistics, emergency rescue, agricultural and forestry crop protection, and aerial surveying. In order to promote the rapid development of China's drone industry, standardize drone flight and related activities, on May 31, 2023, relevant departments issued the "Interim Regulations on the Management of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Flight" to help build a scientific, standardized, and efficient management system.

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
