01 / Overview

This exhibit consists of traffic light devices, embedded intersection screens, mechanical buttons, graphic boards, and external multimedia screens. Viewers can press mechanical buttons to send vehicles on the current road, simulating a continuous stream of cars driving on the road. If visitors continuously presses the button, it simulates the vehicle traveling continuously. The top red and green traffic lights can be used for real-time time control and optimization of traffic efficiency through data recognition. visitors can control the road conditions on their own, trigger the intelligent traffic signal adaptive system, and experience how "smart" signal lights can effectively and conveniently collaborate to control intersection signal lights. This exhibit aims to demonstrate the working principle of the intelligent traffic signal light system to visitors. Through multimedia combined with mechanical interaction, visitors can simulate vehicle driving by pressing mechanical buttons, observe changes and real-time control of traffic signal lights, and watch popular science videos on intelligent traffic signal lights to understand what an intelligent traffic signal light system is.

02 / How visitors use it

The unit is designed for unsupervised public use: controls are recessed or shielded, moving parts are enclosed, and the interface is operable by a child of about six with no instruction. Where a screen is used, the language can be switched without changing the hardware, and the content can be replaced on site.

03 / The science behind it

Intelligent traffic lights are like traffic butlers who can "check the road conditions". It observes traffic flow through road cameras and sensors, and transmits real-time information to the "cloud brain" for analysis. Based on the analysis results, it automatically adjusts the timing of traffic lights: 1 During peak hours: When there are many vehicles, it will flexibly command and allow traffic from all directions to pass in batches, avoiding congestion at intersections. two Normally: When there are few cars, it will reduce the waiting time for red lights and try to allow vehicles to pass through at once without repeatedly stopping and waiting. In this way, whether it's going to school, school, or traveling, the cars on the road are smoother, and the waiting time for red lights is more reasonable!

04 / Built for a public floor

Every unit leaves the factory after a running test: mechanisms cycled, electronics burned in, edges dressed, fixings torqued and marked. Wear parts — bearings, sliders, lamps, belts, touch panels — are modular and listed on the spare-part sheet, so a venue technician can replace them without returning the exhibit. Crating is plywood with foam blocking; the loading plan and packing list travel with the shipment.
